Novotel Fontainebleau Ury: planning your stay

Ury can be convenient for the southern forest and the motorway. If you are travelling without a car, however, your journeys need more careful planning.

Where is the hotel?

The Novotel Fontainebleau Ury is in Ury, south of Fontainebleau, on the edge of the forest and close to the A6 motorway. The location can work well for a stay focused on the southern forest, the Trois Pignons or the Gâtinais.

The official Accor page gives current room, service, booking and access details. Use it to check what is available for your dates.

Who will find this a useful base?

With a car, Ury gives you the freedom to explore in several directions. Still calculate the actual drives to permitted car parks and allow time to return for dinner. Without a car, the hotel needs more careful planning. Fontainebleau-Avon station is not close enough to walk, and public transport connections need checking.

Use Île-de-France Mobilités and ask the hotel which options are realistic at your arrival time.

Before you book

Check the total price, meal arrangements, access to each facility, cancellation terms, children’s needs and any vehicle-charging arrangements. A pool or advertised service may have limited hours, a season or a maintenance closure.

To compare Ury with Fontainebleau, Barbizon, Moret or Milly, read where to stay.

Heading into the forest

Seeing trees from the hotel does not make it a trailhead. Choose a recent route and a permitted access point. Following the fires of July 2026, open the ONF map before driving towards any forest sector.

The Trois Pignons and the Commanderie each deserve a day of their own.
