The spa is located on the banks of the Seine in Bois-le-Roi, on the lock side, near the restaurant La Marine, and offers a heated swimming pool with counter-current, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, and relaxation area.

Etymologically, the origin of the word spa came from the abbreviation of the Latin words Sanitas Per Aquam, Solus Per Aqua, Salut Per Aqua or Samus Per Aqua, which means "health by water"<. These Latin phrases are attributed to the meaning of the word spa because the Romans were great lovers of thermal baths, and many Roman cities were created next to hot springs. These words would also have been used to name the famous Belgian Spa, created in 1326.
